McDonald’s Grimace Shake

Following the viral success of the US Grimace Shake campaign, McDonald's EMEA markets wanted their own localized AR experience. One that turned Grimace into an interactive companion users could play with and share.

We created a dual camera AR experience that celebrates the launch of the Grimace Shake into an interactive journey. Users have the opportunity to take a selfie with Grimace, or flip camera to travel to other countries with him. Using hand detection technology, the Grimace shake is placed in the user’s hand and are encouraged to “cheers” with the purple furry monster to unlock more surprises.
